I’d like to — more than anything, extend my apologies towards the delayed replies, the increasing followers while I never post anything here for about more than awhile. I’d like to inform everyone that I’m keeping this blog — but there will be no guaranteed replies as of now, since I am currently focusing on my last semester. Otherwise, you will be able to find me roleplaying as Shin from AMNESIA here (yet to pick up activity as well—). However, even so, I don’t guarantee much of anything, I apologize.
Still, for all the support I’ve received, thank you. Thank you for staying along with me and remaining patient with what I have. I ask that you all should remain a little more patient, and I’ll soon be around. Thank you — again and again, seeing that I do not know how to show my infinite gratitude as of now.
"Aah, Haley… What’s with the jittery greeting?”
A tauntingly amused smile adorned his features as he took her words into perception, as he raised a hand to touch against his chin. “My bento? I’ll gladly make one just for you, Russ,” serving sweet words as an antiphon to the damsel’s comments, he chuckled at his very attempt to be suave. Placing an appendage upon the collar of his shirt, a wider, sincere smile replaced his laugh.
"—I still do mean it, though, even though I laughed."
“Ah- you’re always so thoughtful, Suzuya! It’s great to have a friend like you around. Oh, right! Have you cooked up any delicious meals recently? Knowing you, they would all taste great anyway.”
"Haha—a friend indeed… I have always been cooking, no less for you and Kanata, so there’s no need to ask that. Jokes aside, I’ve been trying out Western meals, but I’m not sure how they came out. Would you like to have a try someday?”
“To the best of my abilities! I’d rather not have you and Kanata worrying about me 24/7 and be on my case about it!”
“How about you, Suzuya? Have you been doing okay?”
"That’s nice to know, I’m glad that you have been taking care of yourself. It would kill me to see if you don’t… I’ve been fine myself. “
D—Did he just laugh at her? Had she said something wrong? But his expression had softened and it was because she had said just the right words…? Whatever it was, he seemed to have softened toward Hiyori and the pain inside his gaze disappeared. Especially since he breathed a sigh of relief with a comment she did not seem to understand. When he knelt down a bit to use his hand to wipe away her tears, she flinched at first before she allowed him to finish.
When he had finished, was only then did he realize that perhaps he shouldn’t touch her face but she didn’t mind. Not really. His touch was gentle and kind and it was nice of him to even consider wiping away her tears. Before he could even withdraw his hand away from her face, she grabbed it, unaware of what she was doing before she leaned into his hand.
“It’s okay,” she began softly. “Tohzuki-kun… wouldn’t… hurt me intentionally… I—I trust you.” Even though he had hurt her, there was probably a reason as to why. But she felt, that he was a kind soul, and she wouldn’t want him to be hurt because of something he was doing that might perhaps help her in the long run. She’s already come this far and she wanted to assure him that she—in spite of everything—still trusted him.
The gentle, yet wary repression she adopted upon her touch alerted him so, that perhaps it was a mistake to reach out to clean her face of the wetting taint of tears. However, upon her taking hold of his appendage to lean against his palm merely chained him to her and it took up all of his willpower to avoid himself from returning the loving gesticulation with a spasmodic antiphon with his personage.A warm smile adorned his features at the sight of the damsel, at the words she chose despite his depreciation of her which seemed to occur just within seconds ago — for he was the type of person who could not, for a moment allow himself to forgive his deeds so easily. There were past solecism he has yet to palliate, as it sat within his heart, rotting his core from the inside.
"Just call me Suzuya…" he chuckled, anxiousness adorned his gentle laugh upon the perception of his name playing upon her trembling lips, "—I’m glad at all that you do trust me," he spoke, taking in the texture of her facial assets from his appendage she held so defensively against her face.
She wasn’t sure what she was expecting when she had asked that question of hers. Stifling her tears to a sniffle, she waited for him to answer, watching as his gaze looked to the ground rather then toward her. The expression then, that appeared on his face made her want to go forward and to reach out and touch his arm, to perhaps soothe the pain that almost appeared in that smile of his.
Even though they briefly knew one another, even though she didn’t know him all that well, he was still someone kind and she held true to that belief. After all, he brought back the book for her—she didn’t understand why. Hiyori’s gaze softened then, at his words. Her? Who was this girl that he mentioned that he compared her to? But at his words of no longer seeing her again, she seemed to have jumped from her place on the bench and ran toward him, grabbing hold of his sleeves as she looked up to him, her expression agonized as her tears began to form once more.
“N—No! Y—You were just…—!” She swallowed her words then, trying to sort through her jumbled thoughts. What was he trying to do? Teach her a lesson? But, regardless of how he hurt her, it’d only hurt the both of them if they separated now, being left with feelings that would only end in regret and pain. Hiyori didn’t want that for either of them. She was about to release her hands from gripping his arms just as she mumbled, “Y—You’d… n—never want to hurt me… intentionally…”
The mere recollection of Tsukiko played as flashbacks within his brainworks, and it pained him as his heart grew weary and heavy — of all the pretence he played — of all the pain he carried evermore. His cerulean optics remained upon the ground as he spoke, as her gaze upon his facet softened and as the anger and dysphoria within her faded away. The gesticulation she adopted, however — was beyond his expectations. The innocence, naivete of Hiyori remained within her heart — the mere light she didn’t require a refulgence of to exhibit. The ray of pure sinlessness within her required none a single mirror to display — for she possessed the potential itself within her. Her hands took hold of his sleeves and his pupils dilated upon taking in the sight of her dim-lit features.
So child-like, yet so … Exquisite.
A chuckle bubbled against his lips, indeed — a shadowy one as he exhaled a sigh of relief upon comprehending the words she took to deliver, so sincerely. “You seem to really believe so, don’t you?” the man could hardly resist the mere thought of adopting the protective kinesics upon her — to reach out and wipe away the lucid clear tears adorning her porcelain cheeks and so he did.
He lowered himself to clean her facial assets of the wet taint of sadness. Upon the thought that he has concluded the response, his expression enunciated the astonishment upon realizing just exactly what he may have done.
"Ah—I’m sorry… I touched you without your concern again, didn’t I?"
Upon her retreating of the embrace, however, the man’s features soon fell into a disappointment, if not another flash of astonishment prior to the exhibition of a bringdown. “A—ah, I see. Thank you for the… Hug then,” oafishness clouded his words as he raised an appendage to rub the back of his neck, a trademark — yet faint smile splayed upon his facet.
